Direct international flights to Nassau with British Airways or Virgin are available with other options via Miami. Direct flights take around 11 hours. For Andros onward flights from Nassau to Andros Town are with either Bahamasair or Western Air.Small Hope Bay also offer a flight service from Fort Lauderdale. Please note that there is a 40lb baggage allowance on this flight. Supplements apply for weekend departures. |
| Transfer Time | The Nassau - Andros flights is a mere 15 minutes. For the Caribbean Explorer I liveaboard, the flight from Nassau to Georgetown takes 40 minutes with Bahamasair. |
| Visa | None required. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended date of departure from the Bahamas. |
When to Go
| Best Time to Dive | Diving is possible year round although the Bahamas are cooler than nearby Caribbean islands due to their proximity to the continental North American cooler air systems. Hurricanes are possible in the summer months between June and October. |
