The Sea of Cortez has become a popular destination for British divers due to the extraordinary variety of large pelagic species that visit these waters at various times of the year, especially whalesharks which you can spend time researching in conjunction with the Whaleshark Research Institute on a special trip during the whole of September. Both the Galapagos and Cocos Islands offer fantastic liveaboard trips. The Galapagos are synonymous with Charles Darwin and afford the opportunity to make your own mind up on the origin of species, both above and below the surface.
