13th to 24th July 2008 - Okavango Delta, Botswana The Okavango delta is the largest inland delta in the world. Trapped in the parched Kalahari sands, it is a magnet for the wildlife that depend on its rich clear waters. Hippo, Elephants and crocodiles are a few of the creatures that abound in the myriad of fresh water channels and small islands. Limited to 6 participants plus Tony. Once again in association with Mark Addison, owner of Blue Wilderness diving, who Tony has been working on various underwater photographic projects with over the last 7 years. Mark has built an enviable reputation for delivering the goods. Working with world renowned film companies from around the world. Such as National Geographic and the BBC Wildlife crew. Here we will spend 6 full days crossing the complete Delta from Sapopa in the North to Maun in the South by boat taking everything with us to survive in this true wilderness. Each day we will cover some 80 kms diving as we travel through the vast waterways. This is the first time that this crossing of the delta has been done, encountering some of the richest wildlife concentrations in Africa, both above and below the water. This stands to be an adventure rarely possible in the populated and industrialised world we all live in. A true get back to nature event.
